The Driving Angels Teen Driving Class began in 2009 after the community lost three teenagers to traffic accidents. Unlike many programs, the class is different in that the content is delivered from peers.

A group of public safety experts have developed a curriculum and instructed other teens on how to present the information to young drivers. The content is delivered in a fast-paced, interactive program that is held on a Saturday morning. Segments include impaired driving, use of safety restraints, speeding, distracted driving, and EMS and trauma room responses. Teen drivers can be referred to the program from a parent, teacher, or as a result of a traffic citation. If the teen completes the class, the citation is voided and there is no record of the violation.

Since 2009, the Driving Angels have instructed over 1000 drivers and held pre-prom presentations. The program has acquired a driving simulator to help demonstrate the concepts covered in the class.
